The Teacher Academy Program Components
Program of Study
The following four (4) high school courses make up the TAM program of study:

Human Growth and Development through Adolescence

Teaching as a Profession

Foundations of Curriculum and Instruction

Program Expectations
Successful TAM program completers must finish the program of study with an overall average of 3.0 in the four TAM courses with no grade lower than 2.0 in any of the TAM courses.
Program Benefits
Successful TAM program completers who apply to, are accepted by, and enroll at articulating colleges or universities will receive up to four (4) articulated undergraduate credits. They may also be eligible for a $1000 per year scholarship for up to four (4) years.
Articulation agreements are in place with Towson University, Stevenson University, Coppin State University and St. Mary’s College of Maryland.
The MSDE is currently negotiating articulation agreements with several additional Maryland State Universities.
